高國華突然宣布參選台北市長，他以教育為訴求，主打口號「找回台北乾淨的天空」，他表示，「我是高國華老師，為了台灣下一代孩子們的教育，我正式宣布，我要挺身而出，競選台北市長，挽救可憐的孩子，找回曾經屬於你和我，台北的天空。」
